Work experience in the summer in Ireland for students from 16 years old
We offer you the unique experience of being able to take part in work experience in the summer in our school in Cahersiveen, Irlanda, even if you´re only 17 years old.
The programme is a combination of English classes in the morning and voluntary work experience in the afternoon. This course is adapted to students that want to competely submerge themselves in an authentic English speaking environment, whilst gaining valuable experience in the workplace.
The students will attend class from 9:00 to 13:00 every morning. In the afternoons, they will work as volunteers in businesses around Cahersiveen (a small city in County Kerry) for approximately 3 hours every day.
The workplaces for example are bars, restaurants, cafes, childcare, sports centres and tourist services. Please send us an introductory email detailing the area of work you are interested in, together with your work experience to date and hobbies.
The students are invited to participate in excursions at our centre in the free days and nights.
The students should be 16 or older and have a good intermediate level of English (minimum B1). The work experience courses run every three weeks during the summer, together with our youth programmes in the following startng dates.
We offer accommodation with families to complete your immersion in the programme with families that live very close to the school.
